Baja
Description
The beatiful city of Baja (approx. 37,000 inhabitants) is located on the left bank of the Danube in the southern Great Plain, around 45 km south of Kalocsa. Thanks to its balanced range of culture (in the form of architecture and museums) and relaxation (with the Sugovica leisure area and the proximity to the Danube-Drava National Park), Baja lives mainly from tourism. One of the city's culinary specialties is fish soup (Bajai halászlé).
